Our 2009 season is off to a great start. Forbidden Broadway was absolutely fabulous and our audiences loved every minute of the show. Congratulations to the cast & crew for a job well done!
June is looking to be a busy one for the theatre. Other People’s Money is a topical comedy that looks at a Wall Street takeover artist trying to buy out a family run business in Vermont but finds it tough going because he has feelings for the opposition’s attorney. It is a timely story indeed.
On June 21, Huntington will host Apollo’s Fire and their “Come to the River” program. They have described it as a covered-wagon journey that becomes a journey of the soul. Join four singer-actors, a hot-shot hammered dulcimer player, wooden flutes and a handful of early music artists for a musical-theatrical voyage from a New England barn dance, through the ballads of Appalachia to an old time Revival meeting- down by the river. Tickets for the program are available through Apollo’s Fire at www.apollosfire.org.
The latest addition to the Huntington Reservation is Vento, a restaurant right next door to the theatre. They are scheduled to open sometime in June and will have great menu of items that make for a perfect starting or ending point when you attend a show at Huntington Playhouse.
